[ nothing about the request for clarification is surprising. keith had been vague after all, but with intention. shiro could have filled in the blanks himself, giving him the full authority to define the parameters of their relationship now that no part of it is necessitated by prison. in hindsight, keith isn't sure if that vagueness had been respectful on his part or cowardly, but given teh state of things, he doesn't think he has the right to presume much of anything.

taking a steadying breath, keith allows himself to be soothed by the warmth of shiro's body before responding with: ]
