[ shiro doesn’t know what’s going on anymore. he woke up this morning in a prison, spent the early evening in a palace, and now he’s on the grounds of an amusement park…? he’d believe he’s dreaming, except even his dreams are never quite so bizarre. as luck would have it, the switch up in prison life happens to fall on what he’s guesstimated to be keith’s birthday. dates and time are a complicated mess here; being pulled from another reality, keith is on a different time table than this place is, so can it really be said he’s one year older today? probably not, but shiro doesn’t need much convincing when it comes to lavishing keith with attention and affection, not that his supposed birthday is the only reason to today.
another month spent, this time with a full embrace of calling each other boyfriend. it’s been good. it’s gone well. shiro’s affection for keith has only deepened and he’s confident enough to believe the same can be said about keith. meaning? they’re at the end of their pact. tonight they turn off their devices, hole themselves up in bed, banish the space wolf from the premises and finally see how well their chemistry translate into their bodies moving together.
that is… if they ever find their way back to shiro’s cube.
it’s an interesting dilemma. part of him wants to return to the familiar sights of the prison because returning means his cube, his bed, and keith in it, but the other part of him enjoys the change in pace, even if what they’re given is a somewhat run down park. dilapidated in some places and outright ominous in others, the stalls, the games, the rides shouldn’t be counted on. except, shiro and keith have already taken their chances with a few of the rides, the utter disarray of his wind-wiped floof a testament to the speedrun coaster they just finished.
currently, they’re taking a break from courting death and are at a game stall, dozens upon dozens of plushies hanging above their heads. ]
I’ll sink it in a red one, just for you.
[ a quick grin to keith and then shiro is staring ahead, brow furrowing as concentration intensifies. he’s got a bucket of ping pongs clutched in his left arm and he’s standing a good three feet from the countertop. the name of the game is ball and cup bounce. essentially, he has to land a ping pong into one of the many cups after a single bounce. sounds simple enough.
except his first ball bounces off a rim. his second falls in between the cups. his third lacks power and doesn’t even clear the counter. embarrassing. ]
… Instead of logging hours in the sim, I guess I should’ve been attending dorm parties and practicing my beer pong.
