[ … they’re talking about two different things. embarrassment comes with the realization, because wow, shiro’s thinking about the status of their relationship while keith is talking about a vengeful ghost and how he shouldn’t be made to be kind of involved. though, keith said kind of together; he had to have been referencing their last conversation on their dating situation, right? kind of together as a team, when a threat is involved doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. when have they ever been anything less than all in for each other’s safety?

gah. he’s going about this wrong. he’s wasting energy trying to figure out how they got here, rather than figuring out how to get them past this.

the easy option is to forget before and pick up here, to go right along with the ghost situation. prudent, too, seeing as that’s the immediate threat. but shiro had just been exasperated and weary over circling back to this same conversation; if he doesn’t want to revisit it again, at least not in this same uncertain, murky way of theirs, maybe they should spend the few minutes to tidy it up. ]
